This is a camera labelled diagram which is showing every part of the camera and labelling them with what they are.

we start with the shutter button which is the button that takes pictures and videos on the camera, to do that you have to press and release, when you hear a clicking noise which will represent that the picture has been taken, the shutter button is one of the most basic features to have on the camera.

The flash is a part of the camera that is used to take pictures indoors or outdoor when the light is low, the flash will make the light bright, for example when is dark in the room, you can use the flash of your camera which will assist and bring light in the room which makes the dark picture light.

The light the mirrors and the viewfinder are all connected to one thing the mirrors and the light help to see from one one of your eyes in the viewfinder, if you take the light part off the camera, from the viewfinder you will see all blurry, the mirrors are actually placed inside the camera so you cant see them from the outside they are based inside the camera and they are shaped as a pentagon.

The aperture ring allows you to control the aperture directly. the bigger the hole will be the brighter the picture or the video will be if you change and make the hole small the picture or the video will come out to be darker.

This is the shutter I posted the image so its easier to explain it easier.

It all depends on the speed of the aperture of the lens , if the speed is between 1/500 sec the picture will be scintillating but if the the shutter speed is 1/15 sec the picture will be darker. if the shutter speed is slow then more light will expose the image and the image will be scintillating, but if it the shutter speed is fast, then the shutter speed is open for a short amount and less light will come out and the picture will come out darker.

This is a picture that I took on my phone for my photography practice using the pro manual features, where all the images you take are manually taken by you with the sort of setting you have on.

This is another image I took but this time I used the rule of third which made my picture look better. The rule of third is a grid which you can get it from the setting option on your phone when you open the camera, you use the grid on your camera to choose where you want to place your subject I used a friend of mine to take a picture of him. I’ve done that by selecting in the grid a corner near the middle and stay still to get a clear and better image.

What is a genre?

A genre is a type of category of art, music or literature you can split genres into photography genres.

There are many type of genres, some of them are music, documentary, landscape, portrait, each genres develop styles and subgenres.

The genre will help me in my poster work in the case of how to take a photo and what the genre can be about and I can use the genre like the poster I want to do and it will help me within how I want the poster to be I can match 2 different genres with the poster I want to do.

what is a composition

A composition is a rule that you can use to take your pictures in better ways there are many type of composition and one of them is the rule of the third which is a grid line.

This is a grid line which helps you take better pictures o your camera or on your phone, I have used the rule of third for all of my picture that I took for my project, the reason why I choose the rule of third is because it gives a better view of the picture and is all lined up perfectly the way I want it to.

Genre

The image is about an artist looking at someone happily by giving them a smile, the cover has the moon on the back which has the reflection of the trees with a small city near it that you can barely see it. The focal point within the frame is the artist Lil Uzi Vert, the artist is trying to say in my opinion that his going g to do a live performance somewhere around the summer and I can tell that by the reflection of the trees and a happy smile of his face and the colours used to make the cover for the poster.

The genre used in this cover is celebrity portrait which is categorised where like the subjects are the celebrities in arts and sometimes they are politics. There are three main type of celebrity portrait which is a genre and is used a lot which are event photography, celebrity portraiture and paparazzi.

This is an example of what a celebrity portrait looks like as taken as a picture.

The composition used in the image is the rule of third which is a grid line. use the grid on your camera to choose where to place your subject, the main subject in this poster is the artist, the angle for the picture is the eye level position angle which is part of viewpoints composition.

The location in the image mostly looks like a city that has a nice beach or an island where there is happening a concert the person in the poster is not wearing any make up he just has some tattoo’s on his face some earrings on his nose and ears and some jewellery around his neck that looks pure diamond or gold. The background of the image is coloured and there are different types of colours used to colour the background.

use of colour-semiotics

The colour scheme used in the poster is a mix of colour, they used light purple on the character face with a slide of blue indeed on the character face on the background there is used a light blue to do the strips and used a bit of black mixed with purple. the heading is coloured with a mixture of pink and yellow and they also used the colour white which as you can see is on the character shirt.

In my opinion this is a good poster but not the best as is it not natural picture took with a natural background it has got photoshopped and the image probably has been taken from a concert and then they have edited it.

Good & bad points

The poster have got a good colour use to make the background look better by using a mixture of colour to attract more audience. the background of the edited which can make the audience think that the artist is going to do another live concert which attracts more audience attention on the poster. For my project I could use the colour scheme that is used in this poster but change it to a bit different to not make it similar as this one, I should avoid not making my poster looking like is made by Photoshop too much just make it look like realistic and not edit it too much.

genre

The focal point within the frame in this poster is the artist Drake, he is trying to tell us how his career started from rapping and singing from the street to what he has achieved to now and he might also trying to say to us that he is on a concert performing which you can see he has a microphone that goes behind his head and he has his eyes closed as if he is tired or just relaxing.

This is an example of what celebrity portrait looks like it also looks like street photography as it has been taken randomly on a concert.

viewpoints & composition

The composition that has been used in the poster is the grid line which is the rule of third which is to position your phone or camera on a grid line. the main subject in this case in the poster is the artist, the angle used in this poster is the low level eye.

components

The location looks like is in a street as you can tell by looking at the background it has some old image of a street, it can be a street where the artist was grown up or something that was related to him, the artist is wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of trousers. There has been used different types of colours in this image to stand the poster out.

use of colour-semiotics

The colour scheme that has been used in this poster is is a mix of orange and red with the yellow on the background, there is some yellow colour on the artist face that drips down to his body the heading colour scheme is a standard white colour, the poster looks like it is old by the colour scheme that is used to make the street look like old and a bit destroyed by the side which looks like an old house.

good & bad points

In my opinion the poster is good as it has a good colour scheme and the genre of the poster is good they could have used a background that would have showed us what the artist is actually trying to ay it would have made it easier but is it still understandable. For my project I could use the heading that has been used in this poster because it will stand it out, I would avoid using less colour because the more and good mixture you use to your poster it will attract certain amount of audience to have a look at the poster.

A silent discussion is when students have the opportunity to write their own opinion and they make their own personal connections to a topic that can be reading or a video.

They use strategy such as writing and working in silence as a tool that will help the students to explore the topic in depth, the process slows the students down and this is actually good because it gives them time and opportunity to focus on the views of others.

I received some good feedback on what sketch looked the best out of the three that I have drown and that really is useful to me because I can use those sketch on the base of what my colleagues liked and can change few things to make more better. The feedback that I received will help me improve my poster and also I will change few stuff in my poster to make it stand out more, I will eliminate the background for my poster edit it on photoshop that’s the only thing I am going to eliminate.

Photoshop research

This is an RPG circle that I made in photoshop, and will go step by step how did I make this, at the start I opened the app and I clicked on create new and selected the width and the the height of my project on 1200 on both then I changed it to Pixels and then I selected the background to be black.

As it got on I selected the tool that is called ellipse tool which draws oval or circular shapes, and I made the circles all three different colours, one is red, one is blue and one is green, and all three of them had the width and height on 400.

Every colour have his own layer so then after I can choose which colour I want to be seen through or which one I don’t want it to be seen through and I can change in which way I want to see the project from to a screen looking one.

After that I clicked on bottom right corner where I had the option to adjust the layer where you make it transparent and in that way it is literary see through and you can see other colours when you apply that on it.

This information will be useful to my project because I can make the background of my picture transparent which will allow me to put another background the way I want and make my project look better.
