research
For my research I have done the followings which are talking about the camera types that I will be using and also went through the story board that I have made I also got two movie trailers and i went through 30 seconds of each movie scene and talked about what scene shots were used.
talking about the shots went well because I knew quiet few shots and angles types and that eased e off and gave me opportunity write more about them.
What did not go so well and as planned was talking about two different YouTube movies trailer because in them 30 seconds the shots and angles type changed pretty quickly and it was hard to describe what shot and and was taken at that second nick of time.
I overcome not many obstacles in my research I had few difficulties on trying to learn other shot types and that was challenging such as close up and extremely close up shots that was a little bit confusing.
In future I will talk more about shots types and how to use them and how to learn them to take it perfectly and I will also make my storyboard more clearer to see.
The key strength areas were talking about shots takes and how they will be beneficial and useful as if they were practice only the weaknesses were that I did not have much angle shots description about them.
My research was quite informative for my short film it contained few goods stuff about shots that will be used and how they will be done.
Pre-Production Planning
For my pre production planning I had to go through risk assessment and permission Reece if I can film in that particular area and also went through some equipment list and storyboard that I made for my plantings.
Talking through risk assessment and storyboard went well because I did them in my past projects so its like an addiction to do them in every project and it becomes easier each time you do it.
The risk assessment did not go as planned because I was not aloud in certain areas to go and shoot my short clips.
I overcome well through the planning because I had to do the same thing I did in my recent projects so nothing was really challenging in this project other than editing the videos out.
In the future I would like to keep up with my time management and do all these risk assessment and all the planning documents in time.
My strength areas were filling up the risk assessment because I did it in my previous project so it was not hard to complete it one more time. The weaknesses was that I did not have more than one equipment to record my short film such as a mic to record the sound as well.
My production planning was valuable for my short clips, because it contained enough information needed.
production
I have several clips for my production that i have not used as my main i have used them as a side clip as practice i also have images and footage that is used and not used for my project.
Recording the clips the clips went well because I had to just hold the camera and apply the angle types and shot types of movement into it, what didn’t go so well was that I had few clips over the time so I recorded one or two clips that were up to 20 to 30 seconds.
I overcome obstacles well I had few obstacles such as applying the camera moving to left and right such as described in my story board and that was challenging.
In the future I would like to make a up to 5 seconds clips so my trailer will stand out more and look like an actual movie trailer.
The strength areas were that I had a good movement on moving my camera left right and applying the right shot angle, my weakness was that I made few pf my clips longer than 10 seconds which made it stand out like it was a movie.
My production was valuable to my short trailer because it had good scenes and all the behind the scenes footage.
Post-production
For my post production I have edited my clips out in adobe audition messed around with the timing and improved the shots.
Editing the clips went well because I had fun editing different types of clips and adding music on the background and keep changing the music each different clip.
What did not go so well, was when I could not find a free music on any application to use for my clips to be added on so there would have been no background music.
I overcame well from the obstacles I mean there was nothing pretty much there as an obstacles other than finding the right music for the right clip.
In future I would like to explore more on the editing and try different types of stuff in the software and get used to it so it will be easier for me to do them another time when is essentially needed.
My strengths were I had all my clips lined up correctly in the software from 1 to 5 so it was easier to edit them, my weakness was trying to find the right music for the right clip.
My post production was not much valuable because I did not get enough time to spend on my editing and explore more and get used to the functions.
